Dan Fitzgerald will serve as an assistant coach in 2010. He was the head coach of the Michigan Bucks for four seasons from 2006 - 2009. During his tenure Fitzgerald has led the Bucks to the 2006 PDL Championship, the 2007 PDL Final game, the 2008 PDL Regular Season Championship, back-to-back Great Lakes Division Championships in 2007 and 2008, and qualified the team for the US Open Cup in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Fitzgerald previously served as the Buck’s assistant coach from 2002-2005, coaching the Bucks reserves in 2005.
A 1984 graduate of Oakland University with a BA in Communications Arts, Fitzgerald served as men’s assistant coach at his alma mater from 1987–1989 . He also has coached for the Michigan Boys Olympic Development Program, the Vardar Soccer Club and the Rochester Select Soccer Club.
In addition, Fitzgerald has served as the boy’s soccer coach at both Rochester High School and Clarkston High School.
A Granite City, IL native, Fitzgerald was a four year starter for Oakland University from 1980–1983 and was the team captain his senior season
