PONTIAC, Mich. -- The Michigan Bucks had a team record seven players drafted in this past weeks MLS Super Draft and Supplemental Draft, including two first round selections in Akron’s Zarek Valentin (above left) and Kofi Sarkodie (above right). Beginning in Baltimore last Thursday, four former Bucks players were selected in the three round Super Draft as part of the NSCAA convention. That was followed up in yesterday’s three round Supplemental Draft where three more players were chosen and invited to training camp beginning next week. The seven players selected surpasses the Bucks previous best draft class of 2008 (six players drafted) and extends their PDL leading streak to having at least one player drafted in each of the past 13 consecutive seasons.
