BUCKS DONATE COLLECTIBLES TO CHARITY AUCTION
Autographed jerseys from Beckham, Pele, Ronaldo along with Championship ring up for bid

Pontiac, MI (October 29, 2008) -- The Michigan Bucks have once again joined forces with the Cure Tay-Sachs Foundation to sponsor the Ultimate Sports Auction, which is currently taking place, and will run through the CTSF Auction dinner on Saturday night, November 8 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Cleveland, OH.  Serious collectors from all major sports can log on at www.ctsfauction.org  and bid on items donated by some of the greats in all sports.  Items include autographed merchandise from Tiger Woods, Barry Sanders, David Beckham, Pele, Tom Brady, LeBron James and Alex Rodriguez.  There are currently over 500 items that will all bring in money to help cure Tay-Sachs, a disease that is always fatal in children.  The Bucks raised over $10,000 for the foundation during the 2008 season and are continuing their commitment to help the organization raise over $1,000,000 needed to fund the medical research and clinical trials necessary to put an end to this disease, which is a neurological disorder with many of the same characteristics as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

For the soccer fans, in addition to several MLS and professional jerseys and autographed soccer balls, last year’s world footballer of the year Cristiano Ronaldo, took time out to autograph his national team jersey following a Portugal World Cup qualifier earlier this summer.  He specifically signed and donated his jersey to Dakota Bihn (pictured right), the young Bucks fan whose family formed the foundation eighteen months ago.  The Bucks have donated several autographed items to the cause, including a personally autographed LA Galaxy jersey from David Beckham, a Brazil team jersey from Pele and have donated one of the Bucks 2006 PDL championship rings -- the only one that is in circulation that was not awarded to one of the team members.

Bidders can visit the web site to place their bids watch their favorite items until the close of the auction on November 8.  All winners can purchase their items through a secure web site with a credit card and the winning bidder’s items will be shipped to them from Cleveland on November 10 so all items will be in the high bidders hands before the Thanksgiving/Christmas season.  The Cure Tay-Sachs Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non- profit organization so all bids and donations are tax deductible.  100% of all proceeds going to the foundation are used for medical research to find the cure of this disease that affects people from all walks of life.

For further information about the CTSF, please visit the foundation web site at www.curetay-sachs.org.  The Michigan Bucks 2009 season will begin in May of next year at Ultimate Soccer Arenas in Pontiac.  For further information about the Bucks, tryouts for the 2009 team or upcoming Bucks camps for kids, please visit our web site at www.buckssoccer.com.
