STACY NAMED TO PDL TEAM OF THE WEEK
$5 tickets to game with donation to USSF Passback

Pontiac, MI (June 3, 2009)- Michigan Bucks winger Jake Stacy became the second Bucks’ player to be named to the United Soccer League’s (USL) PDL Team of the Week for the 2009 season today for his offensive output in Sunday’s 2-0 win over the Toronto Lynx. Stacy (Grand Rapids, MI/ Michigan), one of the leaders of the University of Michigan men’s team the past two seasons, scored a goal and added an assist earlier this week to lead the Bucks to their third straight shut out win. After a slower than expected start to the season in the finishing third of the field, Stacy expects the current pace to continue. “We blew some really great chances the first two games of the season while we were all getting to know each other, but that is no excuse. We have enough experience and talent on this team to score on a more consistent basis. We know every game will be a dog fight and that there will be a lot of one goal decisions. I need to make sure I continue to play attacking soccer and create chances for my teammates. I know if I do that, my goals will come as well,” said Stacy from his Ann Arbor apartment.

The Bucks (3-1-1, 10 points) return to action on Thursday night at Ultimate Soccer Arenas in Pontiac (7:30 kickoff) to take on the Indiana Invaders for the final time this season. The Bucks beat the Invaders 1-0 in South Bend on Memorial Day to keep their winning ways in tact. At Thursday night’s game, The Bucks are supporting US Soccer’s Passback Program so any fan bringing an old uniform, cleats and decent used soccer equipment to the game to donate at the door will get into the match for only $5. Normal ticket prices are $10 Adults, $6 Youth (under 16) with children 5 and under free.
