UZOIGWE NAMED PDL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Three goal, two assist game against Kalamazoo nets top honors

Tampa, FL (June 30, 2010)-  The United Soccer Leagues announced today that Michigan Bucks forward Kenny Uzoigwe was named Premier Development League (PDL) player of the week for his outstanding performance against Kalamazoo last week.  The eight year PDL veteran scored three goals and added two assists in the Bucks 5-1 win over the Kalamazoo Outrage last Thursday night at Ultimate Soccer Arenas.  The honor gives the Bucks leading scorer a place on the PDL team of the week in back to back weeks.  Uzoigwe, born in Ann Arbor and raised in Toledo, first joined the Bucks in 2006 after playing three seasons with the former Toledo Slayers.  Uzoigwe is no stranger to USL honors, as he has been a member of the PDL All Central Conference Teams in 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2008.  In addition, Kenny was also named to the PDL Best XI in 2007.  Uzoigwe ranks in the top ten all time scorers in PDL history and is showing no signs of slowing down at age 33.

The Bucks are going to need Uzoigwe and the rest of their offensive weapons as they go on the road beginning Thursday for a showdown with FC London for a piece of first place in the Great Lakes Division.  The task doesn't get any easier as the head to Dayton for a rematch with the Dutch Lions on Saturday and then wrap up the road swing with a Wednesday match at Cincinnati.  The Bucks need to come away with at least two wins in the three matches to control their own destiny in making the playoffs this season.  The Bucks next home game will be Saturday, July 10 at Ultimate Soccer Arenas when they play the biggest match of the season against the first place Chicago Fire Premier.  Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM and tickets are on sales at Ultimate Soccer or through the Bucks web site at www.buckssoccer.com.
